Fletcher Takes Street Stock Opener at Outagamie Speedway

(Seymour, WI) May 13, 2022- Outagamie Speedway Race Report- 138 racers checked to do battle at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC. There were 28 IMCA Modifieds, 39 IMCA Stock Cars,34 IMCA Sport Mods, 21IMCA Sport Compacts and 16 Unified Street Stocks.

Mother-Nature got the last word as lightning set in after the first feature ended, forcing track officials to cancel the remainder of the event due to safety concerns. Soon after that the skies opened.

In Street Stock action Josh McDonald set the pace early from his pole position. A caution on lap 3 bunched the field, allowing defending champion James Fletcher to close in. Fletcher worked the top groove to perfection, racing around McDonald to take the lead on the 5th lap. Fletcher went unchallenged the remainder of the event to score the opening night win. Beau Schroder made a late race charge in his Pontiac Ventura to place second, McDonald was able to secure third, Brooke Diefenthaler charger from 12th to place fourth and Trey Van Straten rounded out the top five.
